Piano World has an excellent list of links for free classical sheet music. The site also offers search tools to find piano retailers, repair and tuning services, and bulletin boards for people wishing to buy or sell a used piano.

Practicespot has music crosswords, downloads for sheet music, online music lessons, downloads for tabulature, fingering patterns, and manuscript papers and other assorted tools for music teachers and students.

Real Lyrics.com allows searches for lyrics of recent popular songs by the artist's name, the song title or the album title.

Sheet Music Archive offers a large selection of scores for clasical works in the public domain. Users are limited to 2 download files a day.

Sheet Music Digital has a large library of free popular and classical works for various instruments (mostly piano and classical guitar). These files require Sibelius Scorch software, which is a free plug-in.

300 Years of People and Pianos    -- This site, created as a classroom supplement for the 2001 PBS documentary for the Smithsonian exhibit on the history of the piano, has lesson plans and activities recommended by the National Association of Music Educators.
